Single Sign-on
Simplified login
With contao.id you sign in to your Contao projects with a single click. The tedious managing and remembering of logins and passwords is a thing of the past.
Single Sign-On (SSO) enables a simplified and user-friendly login across multiple Contao installations. With contao.id you no longer need to log in multiple times to different installations with a username and password — instead you can access all appropriately configured installations with a single click.
Enhanced Security
Additional protection for your login
contao.id offers you various login options including two-factor authentication. This minimises risks arising from insecure password practices (e.g. shared accounts within a company).
With contao.id you can log in classically via username/password or use one of the alternative login options such as: Magic Link (email) or hardware token (Passkey or YubiKey).
contao.id also supports two-factor authentication via OTP. You receive the authentication code either by email or in your authenticator app.
Furthermore, contao.id allows you to automatically check your password for compromise and configure a minimum password strength for yourself (5 levels).

Access to test and production environments
With contao.id you can define multiple environments per project. This lets you specify exactly which users have access to your test, update and production environments.
Thanks to multiple configurable environments, contao.id allows you to conveniently manage and control the various access permissions for your test, update and production installations.
This way you can grant developers and testers the appropriate access rights for your test or update environment without compromising the stability and security of your production environment.
Contao User Groups
Easily manage access and permissions
By assigning users to specific groups and roles, you can control in contao.id who receives which user group in the Contao installation.
In contao.id we distinguish between groups and roles. Groups are used for assignment to different teams on our platform. Roles correspond to your user groups in the Contao installation.
Access rights can be defined per project. If that is not enough, you can also set up permissions specifically per environment.
Seamless Integration
Works with your existing installation
contao.id integrates seamlessly into your existing Contao installations and requires no complicated setup.
If you manage your installation with the Contao Manager, you can simply search for and install the contao.id extension in the Contao Extension Store.
